Tree Surgery Crown Thinning This operation entails the removal of growth in order to maintain an even branch structure. This is performed to allow more light through the tree, encouraging healthy new growth and reducing movement when windy. The task involves cutting back the main branches of a tree to promote a more bushy growth of foliage. This is to prevent them outgrowing their allotted space, casting shade, or obstructing other elements such a buildings.. Hedge Work Hedge Trimming Hedge trimming is performed to maintain the size and shape of a hedge. This should usually be undertaken twice per year.
