QUICK-THINKING roofers came to the rescue when several horses caused chaos on a Patching road after escaping from a nearby field.
On Friday, June 24, three horses escaped on to France Lane, Patching, at around noon.
After several people struggled to control the animals, a group of roofers from Rainbow Roofing Brighton, who were working nearby, got the horses back into the field using roofing equipment.
Ben Hunt, 39, from Brighton, had been driving through at the time when he saw the horses in the middle of the road.
He said: “The horses were running up and down the road and no-one seemed to know what to do.
“The roofers came down from their ladders and used their ropes to get the horses off the road. They were amazing and really were such a great help.”
