Volunteer Equipment Monitor Located in Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Centre THIS IS NOT A B&NES VACANCY Job Description: • Ensure participants have the equipment they require to take part in and complete their Expedition section • Work closely with the Centre Co-ordinator to have an understanding of what kit may be required according to Group and Participants needs • Work closely with the Centre Fundraiser to ensure there is sufficient funding to enable purchasing or hire of equipment as required by Groups or Participants • Work closely with the Centre Treasurer to enable the purchase or hire of equipment as required Skill/Qualifications: • CRB check • Complete the on-line DofE induction http://www.dofetraining.org/induction/content.html to gain a full understanding of DofE Location: • May work from any base, communicating with groups and centre co-ordinator to be kept up to date with requirements Hours: • Flexible working according to personal availability • May be required to help centre staff organise release of kit to participants prior to Expeditions and check back in upon their return Availability: • Liaise with group leaders and Expedition Supervisors to know the programme for training Contact cathryn_bartrum@bathnes.gov
