5Fostering are looking for carers in East Sussex and the South East. Becoming a foster carer is an incredibly rewarding job and we know from first hand experience the difference fostering can make to a young persons’ life. We welcome all carers; new or experienced and provide a friendly, personal, experienced highly qualified and reliable service.
Benefits to 5Fostering carers:
Local tailored training – Our training is always at a local venue in East Sussex. We also tailor our training for each session regarding our audience, changes in legislation and current issues.
The remuneration package is from £315 - £630 per week, per placement - dependent on skill, experience and placement type. We also offer additional payments. For example;
24/7 local Support – Local support is provided by members of 5Fostering who can offer advice and local support. They will guide you through any difficulties you are having and will be at the end of the phone 24/7. We have also provided support at the placement during times of dys-regulated behaviors.
Monthly support meetings - as well as social events, carers have the opportunity to share their expertise with other carers at support meetings.
Respite breaks - We understand that breaks here and there are essential for every carer. Each family are offered 21 nights paid respite per year (dependent upon availability and the needs of the child in your care).
Placement through careful matching - to create the greatest opportunity for the child or young person and carer to be successful we carefully match them with your skills - YOU have the final say, and we will never encourage you to make decisions you are not comfortable with.
A Professional Framework for carers - we welcome all carers, new and experienced. We provide effective training and a career structure from being a volunteer ‘Buddy' through to specialist Carers with therapeutic skills.

We will ensure that there will be frequent opportunities during training and social events to relax and not take ourselves too seriously; to relieve some of the inevitable stress of our privileged roles.
