Teddy Bears Picnic at Wilderness Wood
August 6th and August 19th
About 5 minutes outside of Uckfield is the small village of Hadlow Down. It is home to Wilderness Wood, which is renowned for its events throughout the year. This August, there is the opportunity to explore the woods and take your children with you. The Woods are holding a picnic open for everyone and their teddy bears! Uckfield Picturehouse Laughter Lounge
August 1st
The Picturehouse has been running the Laughter Lounge for a couple of months now and it’s turning out to be a huge hit with everyone who’s been. Featuring some of the country’s favourite comedians, at only £12.50 it isn’t to expensive either. It’s pretty popular so it’s recommended to book in advance. Sheffield Park & Gardens
Open throughout August
The garden is open to the public and has some great views for you to enjoy. There are four lakes across the area, which makes the landscape look even better. Along with a café/restaurant there are a few shops too. Trading-Boundaries include clothing and jewellery shops. The small stores are excellent for last minute gifts too! MHG Dance Club
Most days in August
The Dance Classes are held at Newick Village every Thursday. They provide a team of great dance instructors who will teach you over a few weeks how to dance in the style of Latin American and Ballroom. The tutors will give you plenty of time to practise and work on improving your technique. They can also provide private lessons for those of you who don’t feel comfortable dancing around others.
