What’s on in Surrey during the Diamond Jubilee bank holiday - 2nd-5th June 2012
If you haven’t heard, The Queen is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee this year, which means that up and down the country there will be street parties and fantastic celebrations for everyone. In and around Surrey the celebrations are set to be on a huge scale with almost every town and village throwing some sort of bash. But which one do you attend? Well here are a few that we have picked out, that may appeal to you.
Diamond Jubilee Ball at Denbies Wine Estate
If you are looking for a classy way to celebrate the Jubilee then Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, is the place for you. They are putting on a fabulous 1950’s style celebration with the fantastic 15 piece band ‘Perfidia’. There will be a sparkling reception with canapes and a lovely three course dinner along with Denbies award winning wine.

A Right Royal Greville Day at Polesden Lacey
Why not head on down to Polesden Lacey for an ace celebration of the Diamond Jubilee? They are putting on two right royal parties on Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June 2012, and they are both running from 1-4pm. Why not dress for the occasion too?

Jubilee Fun Day (A Right Royal Knees Up!)
This wonderful day of celebrations will start with a procession of marching bands and floats. There will also be stalls from local groups, an arena with events including a motor bike display, line dancing and singing from Vegas Nights and the Horley Singers, a fancy dress competition, a small children’s funfair and refreshments and lots more.

Jubilee beacon event in Reigate
The local council are organising an evening event which will see a beacon being lit in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. But it doesn’t end there. You can also enjoy a wide range of entertainment which is being supported by local traders which will include music, a torch parade and plenty of wonderful food.Make sure you get on down to Priory Park in Reigate for these fantastic Jubilee celebrations.

Brockham Harness Club Jubilee Drive
The Brockham Harness Club is planning a fantastic celebration of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee by organising a Carriage Drive through and around Dorking on Monday 4th june 2012.
Monday 4th June 2012. It is only the second time in history that a British monarch has achieved 60 years on the throne the last being Queen Victoria in 1897 and the town of Dorking is getting ready to celebrate in style. The drive is currently in the early planning stages and more details and route etc will be released shortly but it is hoped that a wide variety of carriages with members and friends will take part in the drive to celebrate this unique occasion.
