”The perfect platform to advertise low priced goods, because it appears to cater for the right clientele. Response to advertisements is excellent. ”

”The process is very simple and straightforward. I have sold everything from toys to furniture using Friday-Ad. For most items the service has been free. Very profitable, and a lot less effort than a car boot sale! ”

Planning a Royal Wedding Street Party

Any wedding is cause for celebration, but when it comes to wedding of our future monarch then the whole country has a reason to get into the party mood. If you are looking to do something fun to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton then a street party might be the perfect solution.

If you do decide to go down this route then you better start planning straight away, as there isn’t long to go. Here are a few tips to help you plan the perfect Royal Wedding street party.

• Create some invitations and deliver them personally to everyone in your street or neighbourhood.

• Organising a big party all by yourself can be a lot of work, so arrange to meet with your neighbours and discuss the party plans.

• Location is key, so research where is best to hold your street party. Remember that you will need to obtain permission from your local authority, so do this early on to give yourself plenty of time before the Royal Wedding on Friday 29th April 2011.

• Accidents happen, so taking out street party insurance will be a good idea. Obviously you will want to prevent any mishaps before they can occur, so think about possible risks and take steps to prevent them.

• Decide how and where you are going to watch the British Royal Wedding.  Either you could arrange for a screen to be brought into the street or you could watch the ceremony in someone’s house.

• Responsibility for food and refreshments should never be placed solely upon one person. Decide what kind of food is to be served and share the cooking responsibilities out amongst the neighbours. Alternatively you could ask everyone to bring their own dish.

• Make sure you have enough furniture, ask your neighbours to bring additional tables and chairs.

• Remember to keep everyone entertained. Kids activities can range from games and face painting, and you can keep the adults occupied with bingo.

The Big Day

• Get you Royal Wedding decorations put up early to avoid a last minute rush. This way if you are short on any items you will have time to go and get them.

• Set an Alarm for the Royal Wedding broadcast. The actual ceremony is at 11am but you may wish to watch the lead up coverage.

• Most Importantly! Enjoy your Royal Wedding Street Party and hope for some fantastic British weather.
