Northampton and Peterborough events for the Diamond Jubilee Weekend, 2nd-5th June 2012
So, The Queen is celebrating her Diamond Jubilee this year, which means that up and down the country there will be street parties and fantastic celebrations for everyone. In and around Northampton and Peterborough the celebrations are set to be on a huge scale with almost every town and village throwing some sort of bash. But which one do you attend? Well here are a few that we have picked out, that may appeal to you.
Jubilee Flower Festival
Members of the Brackley Flower Club will be creating a number of fantastic floral displays in the church to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The display will be available from Saturday to Wednesday and normal admission charges apply. Why not pop down and take a look at the beautiful flower arrangements and celebrate the jubilee in style.

Jubilee Jamboree
The Abington Park Museum and the Park Rangers are all set to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with a wonderful picnic in Abingdon Park. If you are nearby and fancy a lovely picnic then bring along your own food and join in. It is all set to be a fantastic day out for the whole family and to celebrate the Jubilee there will be royal related craft activities at the museum and plenty of fun and games with Cadbury’s Spots V Stripes.

Big Jubilee Lunch
As part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations Daventry Town Council, in partnership with Daventry District Council, will be holding a Big Jubilee Lunch. This will take place as part of a national event and will be in the form of a mass public picnic. There will be musical entertainment throughout the day which will be provided by the musicians of Foxhill Music School. They will be playing a wide range of music which is sure to suit all tastes. there will also be performances by a number of other local organisations along with plenty of activities for children and families. So bring along the family and your picnic basket for a wonderful day out.

Easton on the Hill Royal Jubilee Celebrations
What better way to celebrate The Queen’s Jubilee than with a beer, cider and perry festival? The event will run all weekend from 2nd to the 4th june at The Blue Bell Pub in Easton on the Hill and it includes some wonderful entertainment. The beer, cider and perry festival will run over the entire weekend and there is plenty more to see and do. Other events over the weekend include ‘A Day at the Races’; ‘Easton’s Got Talent - A Royal Variety Performance’; ‘The Colin Adamson - Hypnosis Experience’ and many many more wonderful things which are well worth experiencing.

Chatteris Historic Jubilee Festival
This wonderful three day event is perfect for the whole family. Head on down to Furrowfields for some Jubilee fun and get involved in the historic themed events. There will be re-enactments, demonstrations, displays, trade stalls, fairground rides and much much more, so make sure you get stuck in and take advantage of the two extra days off work. Saturday, Sunday and Monday the show will open to the public at 10.00 am, closing at 11.00pm on Saturday and 5.00pm on the other days there will also be a nominal entry fee for each day which has yet to have been decided.
