Planning Your Plot
This short indoor course from Harvest Brighton and Hove offers tips and advice on how to clear, plan and plant an allotment or good-sized garden. Suitable for beginners with allotments or gardens, participants will have learnt the basics of how to plan a plot and produce good crops with the least amount of work.

Brighton Bicentenary Tour to commemorate Charles Dickens’ 200th birthday
7 February 2012 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of England’s best-lvoed authors: Charles Dickens. To celebrate, Brighton Royal Pavilion and museums have organised a guided tour around Brighton Pavilion to explore Dickens’ passion for the Regency period and the Royal Pavilion’s transformation during his lifetime.

The Science of Bees
Find out more about the life of the bees, what Sussex is doing to save them and what you can do in your own gardens and window boxes. As part of the Brighton Science Festival 2012, this event will feature a speaker from the Laboratory of Apiculture and Social Insects at Sussex University and natural beekeeper at Moulsecoomb Forest Garden and chair of the Brighton Beekeepers Association. All this plus tasters of scrumptious local honey for you to try.

Youth Opportunities Fair
The Youth Opportunities Fair will showcase employers, training providers, FE colleges and sixth forms offering opportunities for you people aged between 16 and 18 who live in Brighton and Hove and who are not in education, employment or training. The Fair offers the opportunity for young people, as well as their parents and carers, the chance to find out more about what is available to young people in Brighton and Hove: apprenticeships, employment, work-based learning, personal development and volunteering opportunities.

The Drawing Circus – Grimm’s Fairy Tales
The Drawing Circus returns to the Sallis Benney Theatre for a full day of themed life drawing with models and live musical accompaniment. All abilities welcome. Grimm Tales is a Drawing Circus event put on by Draw in collaboration with Brighton University.
