What are Micro Pigs?

Micro Pigs (AKA 'teacup pigs') weigh just 9oz at birth, are the size of a teacup and eventually grow to only 14 inches tall. They are minature pot bellied pigs bred with three different breeds of pigs - the Tamworth, Kune Kunes and Gloucester Old Spots.

These gorgeous little pets are becoming increasingly popular, especially amongst British celebrities - It has been reported that Victoria Beckham has bought her husband David two micro pigs for an early Christmas Present at £700 each!

Micro Pigs can live up to 18 years, are highly sociable, intelligent and make very good pets as they are low maintenance. They have few health issues, make little noise, are easy to toilet train and are easy to bond with. They also have the advantage of having hair, not fur, so make good pets for people who are allergic to cats and dogs.

They are happy living with their humans in their homes but note that they do need a good sized outdoor area to play and run about in.
