”The perfect platform to advertise low priced goods, because it appears to cater for the right clientele. Response to advertisements is excellent. ”

”The process is very simple and straightforward. I have sold everything from toys to furniture using Friday-Ad. For most items the service has been free. Very profitable, and a lot less effort than a car boot sale! ”

How to store your caravan in the off-season

How to store your caravan in the off-seasonEveryone loves a good caravan holiday. And after a long summer of cloudy trips to the British seaside you can look back fondly at your lovely holiday season. But it is now time to put your caravan to rest for the off-season.

There are many options of how and where you can store your beloved caravan or motorhome, so here are some of the choices that are available to you.

Home storage
The cheapest and most common method of hibernation for your caravan is most certainly the home storage method. You can perform any maintenance whenever you feel like it and you can keep an eye on it all year round.

There are a couple of disadvantages with this method. It will give burglars a clue to when you are on holiday. If for 11 months of the year there is a caravan on your drive and then it is gone for a month even the most stupid burglars will know you aren’t in. It can also annoy your neighbours because they may not want to look at your huge caravan for the entire year.

Open air storage
Another popular choice for storing your caravan is open air storage. You can leave it at a designated site where it is out of the way, safe and you can have access to it whilst it is there.

Prices aren’t too bad and most sites have some form of security so you can feel safe leaving it there.

It will however be exposed to the elements and you won’t be able to keep an eye on it. This means if there are any problems, like a break in, you may not find out about it instantly.

Undercover storage
The alternative to open air storage is keeping your caravan in undercover storage. They are usually in warehouses or barns and they are a brilliant way to keep your caravan out of the way; safe from the elements; and secure.

Undercover storage tends to be a little more expensive than open air storage, but you get what you pay for. Sometimes, if you are lucky they will even get your caravan in and out for you. How good is that?!

Permanent spot on a caravan site
Some people have caravan sites that they just love, and can’t get enough of. Well, if you have a site near you that you find friendly and warm then why not see if you can pitch your caravan there all year round?

Costs may vary depending on the site and you may have to put up with the site having slightly less security than a storage site.

So there are many ways to store your touring caravan over the winter months and I hope that this has helped you in some way when it comes to making your mind up. Always remember the safety and security of your caravan should always be kept in high regard.
