Host a party with a difference - hold it in your caravan!
Summer is here and with that comes barbeques; evenings in the fading sun and plenty of Pimms all round, but if you want to plan a party with a difference then why not hold it in your caravan?
Attach an awning or a small marquee and you’ve got a recipe for success!
The first thing you need to think about when planning a party in your caravan is the decorations; think colour schemes, depending on what your party is in aid of will help you think of a good colour scheme, for example if your caravan party is in aid of the birth of a baby then choose pink or blue as the theme for your decorations.
Pick up a bunch of balloons in your chosen colours and string them up all around the edge of your caravan and on the corners of your awning or marquee, this will make your caravan easily identifiable to your party guests.
The next step is to decorate inside the caravan – now the plan is to keep people under the awning or the marquee for as much of the evening as possible as the caravan might get a little too cosy; so just string streamers across the ceiling to continue the party vibe.
Whilst you’re preparing the inside of your caravan it would be a good idea to remove the carpet pieces and lay a piece of material in your chosen colour scheme over any upholstery or your table. This means you’ll be able to get rid of the mess quickly and easily the following morning.
Under the awning and the marquee is where you can really go to town; get lots of fairy lights and cover the inner ceiling in them so when night falls you can continue your party in style; these will add a touch of glamour to your caravan party and they really do look pretty when they’re all lit up.
In terms of refreshments for your party guests; get a big stack of plastic picnic cups in lots of different colours from your local supermarket and have them ready under the marquee – you can also personalise the cups with your guests names or things that represent them so they won’t forget where they put them.
Keep drinks and alcohol refrigerated as much as possible; if you run out of space in your Thetford fridge then all you need to do is get a big bucket of ice and put it under the marquee – bury beer and chilled wine in it so people can help themselves throughout the evening.
