”The process is very simple and straightforward. I have sold everything from toys to furniture using Friday-Ad. For most items the service has been free. Very profitable, and a lot less effort than a car boot sale! ”

Homemade food for dogs and puppies

Most of us buy our pet food from the supermarket or the vets; which is fine, but have you noticed that to get the best quality stuff for your dogs and puppies it often costs more than you can actually afford?

If this is the case, well you’re not the only one. Taking care of pets, especially dogs and puppies, is an expensive business and very time consuming, but all owners naturally want the best for their dogs and puppies.
There is a way to ensure that your pets are getting the best quality ingredients without breaking the bank, and that is to make the food yourself.
First of all you will need to take into account any allergy and dietary requirements your dog has to ensure that you don’t accidentally include this in the mix of food that you make.
If your puppy is still young it is a good idea to check with your vet before you switch straight to homemade food as shop bought stuff might contain certain vitamins your puppy needs that you can’t replicate at home.
Most dogs require a diet of 40 per cent meat, 30 per cent vegetables and 30 per cent starch; it is absolutely essential that you follow this guideline when making your own dog food. First try taking a mixture of ground or minced turkey, rice and carrot for your dog food. Ground beef, brown rice and carrots are also very popular ingredients and are very good for dogs and puppies.
One of the most important things when making your own dog food is to rotate the meals you feed him so he doesn’t get bored, this will also make sure that your dogs and puppies will get a variety of nutrients and won’t be eating the same kind of meat and vegetables all of the time.
Different meats have different nutritional values; for exam red meat such as beef is full of iron which is essential to make sure your dogs and puppies stay healthy; however too much red meat can lead to weight gain which is just as bad for dogs and puppies as it is for humans so you will also have to make sure they eat white meet such ad minced or diced turkey and chicken.
