Good game apps for your iPhone or Android
Technology has taken over. We aren’t far from some of the worlds we have seen in sci-fi movies over the years and almost everyone is carrying an iPhone or some form of Android.
The iPhone to us now is like R2D2 was to Luke Skywalker, or Robocop to justice, some of us just can’t live without it. So you can use it for calling people, texting people, keeping up with Facebook, and checking your electronic mail, but if you are on a bus or just bored; why not use it to play games?
There are some amazing game apps for your iPhone that are waiting to be lapped up and played. Here are some of the ones that I think you should give a try. Be warned though, your social life may suffer.
Angry Birds
Probably the greatest thing ever invented by humans ever! I am exaggerating, obviously I am, but it is still pretty cool. So, the pigs have stolen your eggs and you want revenge! You are in charge of a flock of suicidal kamikaze birds that you have to fire at those pesky pigs. It is simple, kill all the pigs and complete the level.
As you get deeper into the game you can access different birds that are equipped will all sorts of weaponry. It is so addictive and mixes physics with some brilliant graphics and colours to make for a fun five minutes.
Replica Island
This is a platform game with a plot that can rival some console games. App games have very little memory which means quite often the game play suffers and has to be very basic. Not here.
You play a small green robot with rockets for feet. Need I say more? Rockets for feet! Now that is cool. Anyway, you have to whiz around the island through 50 levels to collect a secret artefact. There is plenty to do in this game and you will never put your iPhone or Adroid down. I am warning you.
Air Penguin
You are a penguin who has do dive and slide from melting ice-cap to melting ice-cap avoiding the sharks and frosty water. This game is fabulous; it has excellent graphics and some sweet gameplay. You have to use the tilt function in your phone to help control your flabby wingless bird as he attempts to survive in the harshness of the icy seas.
Along the way you will find more hazards and allies and you will get to ride on the back of a turtle! Now who wouldn’t want to do that?
Apparatus
This is the game for all the men out there. Why? Because you get to build stuff. Using your trusty hammer and some pieces of wood you have to make a contraption to get your marbles from A to B.
Your contraptions have to complete every day tasks and though it may not sound that exciting it is bloomin’ addictive. The graphics are great and though the game takes place in the same place throughout it is visually very pleasing.
