Eastbourne Renting Guide

Eastbourne Sea Front
If you are thinking of finding a property to rent in Eastbourne then you are about to make a big but exciting commitment. It is important that before any big move you know about the area and are sure that it offers you all you want. This Eastbourne Renting Guide should help to give you a feel of the town and tell you some basic facts about what there is to do.

Eastbourne is a medium sized Victorian town east of Brighton. Seated on the edge of the South Downs, Eastbourne is both picturesque and fun. The South Downs offer lots of walks and activities for the family and the world famous Beachy Head and Seven Sisters are close by. Eastbourne has a pier and large pebble beach for sunbathing and having fun on a summer’s day.

Eastbourne has the reputation of being a holiday hot spot for the elderly but this is not all Eastbourne has to offer. Eastbourne has a larger young community than one might expect with parts of Brighton University being situated in the town. A lot of foreign exchange students also make use of what Eastbourne has to offer during the holidays. There are also lots of pubs and bars to keep you entertained in the evenings. If you are a fan of tennis then you will love Eastbourne as it is the host of the Eastbourne Championships, a women’s tennis tournament which is used as competitive practice before Wimbledon.

Eastbourne is awash with theatres, cinemas and shops to suit your every need. A personal highlight is the Towner Art Gallery which has recently opened. So now you know that you won’t be short of things to do with the family in Eastbourne you will probably be wondering about the quality of the local schools. A couple of very good schools in the area are St John’s Meads Church of England Primary School and Langney Primary School. There are two brilliant private secondary schools in Eastboune, Moira House and Eastbourne College. There are also some excellent state schools such as Willingdon Community School, the Cavendish School and Ratton School.
