Can I Sell my Olympics Tickets?

london 2012 ticketsWith London 2012 just around the corner, tickets for all the events are being dished out across the country and the world. However, with the registration process being somewhat of a lottery, the Olympics tickets we actually get given may not be what we particularly would want. If you are wondering whether you can sell on your Olympic tickets 2012, find out what your options are with our handy guide below.

I can no longer attend the event
If you are no longer able to attend the event that you have Olympics tickets for, there’s no need to worry! Although you cannot return, cancel or change the tickets there will be an official opportunity for you to resell them through the London 2012 resale programme. This is the only authorised way of buying and selling tickets that are unwanted. Details of this programme will be released early in 2012.

Can I sell my Olympic tickets for a profit?
The answer to this is quite simply, no. Since 2006 it has been illegal to sell on tickets to events specifically to make a profit. This is also against the terms and conditions of buying Olympic tickets 2012. Using the official resale programme you will be able to sell your tickets for face value.

Are Olympics tickets transferrable?
The tickets are non-transferrable as per the terms of sale. However, friends or family can buy the tickets as the lead booker and can give you one of theirs. Remember, the lead booker must be in attendance.

Friday-Ad is delighted to reveal that we will be launching our very own Olympics website in the run up to London 2012!  More details will be announced in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can find out more about the Olympics with some of our topic pages.
