”The process is very simple and straightforward. I have sold everything from toys to furniture using Friday-Ad. For most items the service has been free. Very profitable, and a lot less effort than a car boot sale! ”

Buying or Adopting a Kitten

Kittens can make brilliant family pets and companions; they are easier to handle than dogs as they can be left to their own devices for longer periods of time and are generally a little more independent.

They do still require a lot of attention though and will be a big investment of your time, regardless of whether you get a kitten or an older cat they are a big commitment and will require training.
So if you’ve decided that a kitten is the right pet for you then how do you go about getting one? Well there are a number of ways; the first is to visit an adoption centre like the RSPCA – more often than not you will get a slightly older cat rather than a tiny kitten, but there are so many cats that need a good home as lots get abandoned or separated from their owners.
Rescue cats come in all shapes, sizes and temperaments and the adoption centre will be able to give you a better idea of which cat might suit your needs when they meet you. Some cats are fiercely independent and would therefore suit a busier household where as some are real lap cats and would appreciate a daily cuddle with their owners.
If you decide to go down the adoption route you will need to pay real attention to the pre-existing requirements of your new cat; some aren’t used to going outside and would therefore be better suited to a flat or a home without a garden, where as some will be used to roaming free so to keep them inside would be unfair.
If you already have a solid idea in mind about the type of kitten you’re after then you might want to consider buying a kitten outright. Depending on the breed of the kitten they can cost anything between 20GBP to 250GBP for some rarer breeds!
Cats do tend to breed a lot though; and some cat owners may well find themselves with a house full of kittens without much prior warning – a litter of kittens can sometimes contain up to ten! Which is a lot of naughty paws to deal with, so you will find people giving kittens away as well.
A quick search of the internet using the term ‘kittens for sale’ should bring up a whole world of adverts to sift through so you can find your perfect puss.
