The successful candidate will report to the site Engineering Manager.
Applicants should have a broad understanding of electrical & mechanical systems including a working knowledge of PLCs and Pneumatics. Some experience of plant machinery would be preferable (i.e. Boilers, Air Compressors & Steam Systems). Some experience of Fitting, Turning & Welding would be advantageous.

As a 17th Edition Multi Skilled Engineer your Primary roll will be to support Line Setters and Line Leaders to maintain operational effectiveness of production machinery by timely diagnostics and repair. Additional duties:
 Completion of documents to support all quality and safety routines and activities within the department.
 Assist and co-ordinate the installation of any new equipment or machinery.
 Co-ordinate the purchase of maintenance materials, PPE, and spare parts where applicable
 To be aware of all safety requirements, both company and legislative when carrying out repairs or maintenance.
 Ensure that all new electrical installations or machinery comply with the relevant Health & Safety and legislative regulations. (ATEX, IEE, Machinery Directives etc).
 Be accountable for all Portable Appliance Testing on site and bring to the attention of the Engineering Manager any faults or problems.
 Co-ordinate and supervise the statutory examinations of all the electrical installation on site including emergency lighting.
 Be responsible for any corrective actions resulting from the above.
 Assist in the Plan and design of new projects.
 To carry out all electrical installations in-house where possible.
 Any other duties not specified as required by the business.
 17th Edition Wiring Regulations & Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT) will be required as will computer literacy skills.
 As part of a small Engineering team the successful applicant will need to be a team player with a positive can do attitude and be prepared to work shifts as and when the needs of the business dictate..
