Cairndow is a small quiet Village with no shops and we are the only Hotel & Bar within the Village, 15mins from the nearest town (Inveraray) so the applicant must like the country lifestyle.  We serve food 12-9 daily. We have a team of 3/4 in the Kitchen
Both full time positions, roughly 40hr week, temp positions.  Starts end April/beginning May ends mid October.
5 days out of 7 occasionally 6 days if required.
Head Chef:
Must have valid food hygiene certificate.  Must have minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Chef.  Must be able to work well on own and as part of a team.  Must be flexible with shifts.  Must enjoy training others.  Wage T.B.C – dependant on experience.  You will be managing stock, creating daily specials & working with our current Menu.  This is a hands on position. 
General Assistant:
Must have previous experience working in Bar/Restaurant.  This position will involve some Housekeeping, taking food & drink orders, serving food & drink, cash handling and any other related tasks. Wage L6.10PH

Main Purpose

West Cheshire College is a specialist vocational college which will shortly complete (May 2012) a major capital project which will see provision delivered over new high quality campuses in Chester and Ellesmere Port in 2011/12.

You will be responsible for leading on the delivery of the Hospitality and Catering curriculum and increasing retention, achievement and success rates. This is an opportunity to influence the delivery of our curriculum and you show have considerable teaching experience in either Professional Cookery or Food and Drink Service. An important aspect of this is developing the way we teach in our exciting new buildings and you should be able to influence other teachers and demonstrate excellence. This post will also be responsible for ensuring our teachers and students contribute to our commercial ventures associated with curriculum activities. This post will also be our lead on all Internal Verification, External Verification and Course Organisation.
