These plates are in mint condition. No cracks, chips or crazing. 210mm (about 8¼ inches) Plate PN 9: “Gentle Persuasion” – With outstretched arm and a bright, fluttering apron, the goose-girl urges her noisy flock towards the open invitation of the creaking five-barred gate, swung wide with energetic young helpers to tempt the geese within. Plate PN 10: “Water’s Edge” – Momentarily forgetful of their errand, two country children set their shopping basket down to pause at the roadside, captivated by the waterside attractions of casting bread into a sparkling stream as it flows beneath white, bobbing ducks into the village pond.
